Misc

This page highlights some of my miscellaneous items and experiments – to keep the work interesting I do like to spend 25% of the time I do woodturning experimenting with things and trying out something new. This has lead to some spectacular failures but also some of my best pieces where I work with the wood and let it guide me to what it should be. Often I’ve started to make one thing but due to the grain/wood features or flaws I’ve ended up with something else and it’s this process which really interests me – it’s the wood dictating what should be done and me having to modify my ideas around it rather then me imposing my ideas on it.
